SUMMARY:3rd South Asian Actuarial Conference
DESCRIPTION:The Actuarial Association of Sri Lanka (AASL) is organising their third South Asian Actuarial Conference (SAAC 2023). This three-day conference will be held from the 15th to the 17th of November 2023 at The Kingsbury\, Colombo\, Sri Lanka. \n  \nIn a world filled with uncertainty\, as actuaries\, we can use our versatile skill set to serve the public interest\, identify opportunities within emerging risks and help the public and private sectors make financial sense of the future. As such\, the theme for SAAC 2023 is “Actuary: part superhero\, part fortune-teller\, part trusted advisor”. AASL has selected their theme to include a variety of topics under these three components with the aim of attracting a diverse group of speakers\, both actuaries and non-actuaries\, from across the world. The conference aims to generate ideas on expanding the actuarial profession in developing countries such as Sri Lanka. \nRegister on the SAAC 2023 website before early bird registrations close on 15th September 2023.

SUMMARY:XIV Italian National Actuarial Congress
DESCRIPTION:The XIV Italian Actuarial Congress will take place in Milan as an in-person event on 15\, 16 and 17 November 2023 at the Quark Hotel\, Lampedusa Street 11. \nIn the last Congress (Rome 2021) a long term project was launched towards the “Global Actuary” attended by 1.210 participants\, including stakeholders. \nActuaries in particular were always considered to be more involved in the traditional fields (usually insurance and pension) but also in the wider fields\, these latter concern enterprise risk management\, emerging and systemic risks\, new data processing techniques\, including artificial intelligence and machine learning\, banking\, finance\, welfare plans\, including the supplementary health private funds and the non-financial corporates. Summing up the goal: to continue to further develop the traditional fields and at the same time to develop the new fields. \nIn the next Congress these topics will be considered from the Italian point of view but also looking at the European and international scenarios.  \nThe title of the Congress is the exact summary of the above mentioned contents and goals: “the global actuary for a sustainable world: tradition\, innovation and emerging risks”\, the same is for the most important topics: \n\nthe state of art of the “Global Actuary”  in Italy and in the world\nthe new frontiers of the insurance sector looking at climate change\, solvency\, value for money\nthe welfare in a changing world\nsustainability in the insurance\, pension\, finance and corporate field and the contribution of the actuary\nthe project “human and financial resources” inside the Actuarial Italian Association\nfocus on the insurance market: the motor insurance reform and the future of the segregate funds in life insurance.\n\nSome round tables will complete the program. \nThe Congress\, as usual\, will be open to the participation of stakeholders. \n  \nRegister here! \nFurther details available on the websites: www.ordineattuari.it and www.actuary-isoa.com
