The first MoU was signed on 7 October 2017. A second review took place in 2022 and was signed on 8 May 2022 by Roseanne Harris, then President of the IAA and Mária Kamenárová, then Chairperson of the AAE.
A third review took place in 2025 and was signed by Bozenna Hinton, President of the IAA and Inga Helmane and Matthias Pillaudin (resp. Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of the AAE) on 11 April 2025 in Edinburgh.

The Young Actuaries Initiative is a transnational initiative for promoting the actuarial profession and supporting young actuarial talents internationally. Established in 2024 by the actuarial associations of France and Germany.
The YAI and the AAE have agreed on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in January 2026 with the purpose to establish a collaborative framework to jointly address the involvement of young actuaries in the international actuarial movement in Europe.
