The Actuarial Association of Europe (AAE) is launching a call for expressions of interest for the role of Chair of the Non-Life Working Group, following Christoph Krischanitz stepping down as Chair of the Working Group. The AAE is seeking a Chairperson who has a strong background in non-life insurance and who is motivated to further develop relevant non-life topics for the European actuarial profession.
The Non-Life Working Group contributes actively to the AAE’s technical and policy work and report to the Insurance Committee. In recent years, its activities have covered a wide range of topics, including:
The role involves providing technical and strategic leadership to the Working Group, including setting priorities, coordinating contributions, and representing the group’s views within the Insurance Committee and, where relevant, in interactions with European stakeholders.
Committee members (and Member associations) are warmly encouraged to share this call within their networks, and individuals who meet the above profile are invited to put themselves forward.
Expressions of interest should consist of a short motivation note, and a brief summary of relevant experience. These should be submitted by 4th September 2026 to Lauri Saraste (Lauri.Saraste@lahitapiola.fi) and Monique Schuilenburg (moniques@actuary.eu).
