The Actuarial Association of Sri Lanka (AASL) is organising their third South Asian Actuarial Conference (SAAC 2023). This three-day conference will be held from the 15th to the 17th of November 2023 at The Kingsbury, Colombo, Sri Lanka.
In a world filled with uncertainty, as actuaries, we can use our versatile skill set to serve the public interest, identify opportunities within emerging risks and help the public and private sectors make financial sense of the future. As such, the theme for SAAC 2023 is “Actuary: part superhero, part fortune-teller, part trusted advisor”. AASL has selected their theme to include a variety of topics under these three components with the aim of attracting a diverse group of speakers, both actuaries and non-actuaries, from across the world. The conference aims to generate ideas on expanding the actuarial profession in developing countries such as Sri Lanka.
